This book is great for anyone between the ages of 16-20. Written by Liza Conrad, author of High School Bites, the book mixes teenage drama with the world of illegal high-stakes poker.
Lula is just your average girl. If your average girl split her time between fancy brunches with her mother and backroom poker games with her father. Lula is a mix of uptown and downtown New York and manages to maintain a balance between the two. Until now that is. When her friend Dack looses more than he could afford in an illegal poker game, Lula comes to the rescue and wins it all back in another illegal game. Unfortunately, there end up being some very major consequences.
This book has just enough poker terminology to make it interesting, but thankfully not enough to make it annoying. Its a great story about friendship and looking out for your loved ones. Its a relatively fast read and very enjoyable and will keep you entertained with every turn of the page! It’s definitely a great read!
