Have you ever had a book that you just couldn’t put down? Well Marked, by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, was one of those books for me. This book is great for anyone ages 16 and older!
Sixteen-year old Zoey was just your average girl dealing with boyfriend issues and high school drama. Until she was Marked. In the hallway after school Zoey is Marked as a fledgling vampyre and must now move to the House of Night, a vampyre training school that will help her as she transforms into an adult vampyre. Unfortunately, no amount of training will help her if her body rejects the change. Rejection of the change is not rare and leads to death. Luckily for Zoey, she isn’t your average fledgling. Chosen as special by Nyx, the vampyre goddess, Zoey is given powers that are unheard of for fledglings and for most adult vampyres. As Zoey struggles to hide her differences from the other fledglings she is forced to reveal them to her friends, who must help her stop a disaster from happening.
Will Zoey and her friends stop the disaster in time? Will she embrace what the goddess has planned for her? You’ll have to read to find out and I suggest you do just that!

The sixth book in Emily Franklin’s The Principles of Love series is just as good as the five that came before it! This book is great for anyone ages 15 and older.

Sienna Mercer does a great job in this sequel to My Sister the Vampire: Switched. My Sister the Vampire: Fangtastic is great for anyone ages 16 and under.
Ivy and Olivia have yet to tell there adoptive parents that they are twins. And surprisingly, no one at school has noticed either. Of course, with Olivia being a cheerleader and Ivy being a vampire, they can’t really run in the same social circles in public. But when Serena Star, a nosy and not to intelligent tabloid reporter starts snooping around town in order to get the inside scoop on Franklin Grove’s secret, the sisters must confide in friends and work together to keep her from finding out what is really going on.
Its easy to get lost in this book as you read about Olivia and Ivy’s adventures. Will these twins be able to keep the town secret safe or will the secret be discovered and exposed to the world? You’ll have to read for yourself!

This book is great for anyone under 16.
Olivia Abbott is new in town and surprised to see that most of the kids in school are what most would describe as “Goth”. Julie Kenner does an incredible job in the sequel to The Good Ghouls Guide to Getting Even. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to read the first book but it was easy to jump right into this one. This book is great for any ages 14-18.
Beth Frasier is a vampire, but she is definitely not the only one at her high school! After saving her boyfriend by turning him into a vampire, she is afraid he may be trying to kill her in order to become human again. She soon realizes that someone else, someone even more dangerous is after her and they won’t stop until they get rid of her. While struggling with normal high school drama, Beth must also deal with a group of vampires who want to use her genius to develop a formula that would allow them to spend time in the sun. Caught in between a vampire war, she must find a way to survive. Luckily, she has good friends and even the help of a vampire slayer, who has taken pity on her.

Alyson Noel stunned me once again with her book, Saving Zoe. I have read books by Alyson Noel before, but this is by far my favorite. I would recommend it for anyone over 16.
Echo’s world was shattered when her sister, Zoe, was murdered a year ago. Now she must deal with her parents, who don’t seem to care about anything, and the awkwardness of freshman year of high school. When Marc, Zoe’s former boyfriend, gives her Zoe’s diary she thinks she knows everything there was to know about her sister. Once she starts reading it, however, she realized that she knew almost nothing. Now, as she gets deeper and deeper into the diary she starts to feel more and more like Zoe but also finds out more and more about herself. Will she be able to uncover the truth about her sister and find herself in the process?
It’s hard not to get sucked in as you laugh with Echo’s first boyfriend problems and even harder when you cry at the issues she must confront as she learns more and more about her sister. This book has become one of my favorites of all time!

Janice Kaplan & Lynn Schnurnberger impressed me again with their book, Mine Are Spectacular. This book is great for anyone 20+.
Sara Turner is a very busy woman. Spending her time between her new fiance, her friends, and a new career can be very tough. Especially when she also has to deal with her fiance’s unhappy daughter and the ex-wife who desperately wants him back. Throw in the fact that her ex-husband has stepped back into the picture to claim his right as a father, and you have problems that are bound to happen. Oh, and did I forget to mention the sexy co-star that comes along with Sara’s new job? Luckily Sara and her friends, Berni and Kate have each other, because Kate and Berni’s lives are just as jumbled as Sara’s.
Will Sara find a way to make the new pieces of her life fit together? Or will she break apart and lose it all?
