In Times of Violence, by Karina Kantas, vividly depicts the dangerous lives of members of a London biker gang. This book is great for anyone ages 18 and older.

Jade has to get away from her home. Her mother is an alcoholic and her father is never around and she is sick of feeling like she doesn’t belong. So, she heads to London to stay with relatives. She soon finds that her cousin is a stuck up snob, and she doesn’t really fit in with her nor does she even want to spend time with her. When she sees Marcus for the first time, she is instantly finds him attractive and when she finds out he is the leader of the Tyrants, a tough biker gang, she makes it her mission to get him and be part of the gang.

When she gets caught in the cross-fire of a gang fight, she ends up in a fight of her own with Marcus’s then-girlfriend Monica, leaving her battered and bruised. Marcus takes care of her and they end up falling for each other. Jade must work to make the rest of the gang fall for her as well while trying to stay safe. As she becomes the first and only woman in the gang, the guys take her under their wing and she quickly proves that she can stand her own in a fair fight.

But when Jade catches Marcus making out with another woman right in front of her she turns to his brother, Dylan and eventually ends up falling in love with him. They must keep this a secret from Marcus and the rest of the gang and Jade must stay with Marcus. But when tragedy strikes, Jade promises to stay with Marcus and to get him away from the violence.

Will Jade be able to fall back in love with Marcus? Will they be able to escape this time of violence? You’ll have to read it for yourself!
