Geek Abroad, the second book in a witty series by Piper Banks, is a great book for anyone 16 and older!
Miranda Bloom is back again and when winter break comes around she is all set to go to London to spend the holiday with her mom, who is in London working on her next book. In London Miranda is determined to star true to her almost boyfriend, Dex, who she shared a hot kiss with right before leaving the states. However, when she never hears from Dex, she gives in to her mom and starts hanging out with Henry, a very available British cutie.
As Miranda enjoys London she dreads going back home to her dad, stepmom, and stepsister. She also doesn’t want to run into Dex, who she is sure has completely ditched out on her. When Miranda gets home, however, she is surprised by everything she finds. Her dad is fighting with his wife over the way she treats Miranda and Miranda isn’t really sure how to react. Her best friend has completely lost herself in her new boyfriend and Dex stills seems to be interested in Miranda. She also has to make some tough decisions involving school and her dreams.
Will Miranda be able to figure out how to navigate all the changes that have occurred in such a short time?
