Massie Block feels like her spot at the top is slipping and she will do anything to hold on to. And that means throwing Octavian County Day’s first boy/girl Halloween party. She has one little problem though. Her parents are forcing her to co-host with Claire, who has yet to become Pretty Committee material. But Massie is willing to do whatever she has to do in order to have her party and stay on top.
When the party finally arrives, Claire finds herself having more fun than she imagined! She even managed to win a dance competition with a totally cutie. Massie, however, spends half the night talking to Kristen, who couldn’t come because she was grounded, and the other half avoiding spin the bottle. It seemed like everyone had a blast at the party except Massie, but she didn’t mind because it kept her firmly rooted on top of the social chain.
However that all stands to change when Octavian County Day institutes a new uniform policy and Massie and her friends are blamed. Will they be able to save their social status?
So far we have managed to get in touch with two of our t-shirt winners! Congratulations to:
Mary from Wisconsin
Erica fromĀ New Jersey
The remaining two winners will be announced shortly!
Massie Block, Alicia Rivera, Dylan Marvil, and Kristen Gregory are ” The Clique”, also known as The Pretty Committee. As the most popular girls in the 7th grade at Octavian Country Day School everyone wants to be them or be friends with them. But when fashion disaster Claire Lyons and her family move into the Block’s guest house, Massie is afraid her popular status will suffer. But the Pretty Committee is not about to let their leader drop in popularity because it would mean a drop for all of them!
Although Massie is forced to be nice to Claire in front of their parents, they have no control over what she does at school. The Pretty Committee has no problem making fun of Claire without mercy and none of the girls like Claire. Once Claire realizes that the girls won’t like her unless Massie does, she sets out to make them believe that she is Massie’s new best friend. But along the way she discovers that they all have weaknesses or secrets. As Claire learns to deal with the girls she also makes a real friend in Layne. Will Claire and Massie end up being friends in the end?
