Better Late Than Never is another great book by Catherine Clark and definitely one that people of all ages can relate to!

Peggy Fleming Farrell was hates a lot of things, especially her name. She hates the fact that her parents took her drivers license away, she hates the fact that she has to work at a gas station making coffee, and she hates that her parents assume she is always available to babysit.

Forced to get a job making coffee in order to pay off the damage she caused to the family vehicle, Peggy has to skate to work and risk being attacked by a not-so-friendly Doberman. At work she has to deal with a regular customer whose breath threatens to kill her and a coworker who continues to surprise her. At home she is constantly watching her siblings or getting a lecture from her father. She spends most of the rest of her time at French class, where her teacher never seems to be or hanging out with her new friend Charlotte.

As the summer goes on Peggy has to deal with her crazy family and boy problems and when a man starts robbing local gas stations she even begins to wonder if her work will be next. Will Peggy survive the summer?

Better Late Than Never is a very entertaining read. Its a great story of growing up although Peggy goes through more trouble than I ever did! Its definitely a fun read that you should check out!
