After saving her boyfriend, Andy is set on enjoying her time with him. Unfortunately, when she gets dragged to what is known as a “pretty party”, which seem to be the latest thing among the Dallas elite. These fun get-togethers include gossip, refreshments and of course, Botox! Normally ending wouldn’t dream of attending an event like this, but her friend Janet, who is a society reporter, drags her alone. When her former classmate and beauty queen Miranda shows up drunk and waving around a gun, things turn interesting.

Blaming all her problems on bad Botox on Dr. Madhavi, Miranda is intent on revenge. After Andy calms her down and takes her home for the night, Miranda passes out. Unfortunately, she is found dead the next morning and the police suspect suicide, although Andy isn’t so sure. As Andy begins to investigate with Janet, they uncover a story too juicy to resist and Andy once again finds herself in danger.

This book was a great follow-up to Night of the Living Deb! I’ve really fallen in love with Susan McBride’s books! I would recommend this series to absolutely everyone!! Although Janet got a little pushy at times, I thought she was a great addition to the book.

Regina used to be one of the most popular girls in school and part of the “Fearsome Fivesome.” She was feared and revered by all of the students at her high school. Along with the other girls in the clique, she made the lives of many people completely miserable. Unfortunately, her time at the top has come to an end.

After rumors start to circulate about her and her best friends boyfriend, Regina finds herself being “frozen out” of the group. Her old friends are out for revenge and they manage to turn the entire school against her. Regina desperately tries to tell her friends the real story, but no one will believe her. The only person who will even give her the time of day is Michael, a boy who she herself had victimized. Unfortunately, Michael seems to simply enjoy watching her suffer, but will that change?

This book was great from beginning to end. Having read “Cracked up to Be” I assumed that I would love this book as well and I was right! Regina is a great character and I definitely found myself feeling really sorry for her. The way her friends treated her really bugged me and I was even really annoyed with how Michael treated her at first, even though she did deserve it. The book has some great twists in it and was extremely easy to get into. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

The Pretty Committee is ready to head back to school and their biggest concern is what to wear on their first day back! As the girls prepare to head back they must also deal with Claire’s new stardom and all her fans. Everything else is perfect, except for the fact that the girls were forced to join the soccer team as a condition of their return to school. But everything changes once the girls get a message from Skye, the reigning 8th grade alpha, and their lives get a little crazier!

As the girls set out to find the key to a secret room they must fight against others to keep their top spot on the social ladder. Will the girls be able to find the key before everyone else?

It’s hard not to get caught up in the continuous adventures of these 5 girls! Although it’s not my favorite of the series, it’s still a great addition!
