Betrayed, the second book in the House of Night series by P.C and Kristin Cast, is even better than the first! When I sat down with this book I couldn’t stop reading and I found myself unwilling to go to sleep until I finished it! This book is great for anyone ages 16 and up!

Finally, Zoey has started to settle in at the House of Night school. After saving her ex-boyfriend and several other fledglings when a ritual goes bad, she is made Leader of the Dark Daughters, and is on the path to become a High Priestess. Suddenly, Zoey’s new found happiness is threatened when human teenagers started to disappear and all signs point to the House of Night. When Zoey’s ex-boyfriend is taken, she must figure out who is behind it and how to stop them before he is killed just like the two before him. Will Zoey have the courage to save him? To make things worse one of Zoey’s friends does not make it through the change and dies….at least thats what everyone thinks. And Zoey is forced to deal with the realization that she has misplaced her trust in someone.

Will Zoey be able to overcome all of the changes that are happening? You’ll have to wait and see! This book will leave you wanting more but unfortunately we’ll have to wait until March, when Chosen, the third book in this thrilling series comes out! This is definitely a series to stick with!
