Julie Kenner does an incredible job in the sequel to The Good Ghouls Guide to Getting Even. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to read the first book but it was easy to jump right into this one. This book is great for any ages 14-18.
Beth Frasier is a vampire, but she is definitely not the only one at her high school! After saving her boyfriend by turning him into a vampire, she is afraid he may be trying to kill her in order to become human again. She soon realizes that someone else, someone even more dangerous is after her and they won’t stop until they get rid of her. While struggling with normal high school drama, Beth must also deal with a group of vampires who want to use her genius to develop a formula that would allow them to spend time in the sun. Caught in between a vampire war, she must find a way to survive. Luckily, she has good friends and even the help of a vampire slayer, who has taken pity on her.
Will Beth find the formula and make the modern vampires happy? Or will the traditionalist vamps eliminate her before she has a chance? You’ll have to read to find out! This is one I definitely recommend.
