Spa name: The Spa at Pinehurst Location: Village of Pinehurst, NC Services: over 50 services offered, from manicures/pedicures to massage, facials, body therapies and skin care therapies. There’s also a separate teen spa area where you can indulge in a facial, massage, makeup lesson and more. Packages are available for mothers and daughters, or get your friends together for a spa day to celebrate a birthday or before the prom. Signature services: Magnolia Luxury Facial, which includes a foot massage, Friends Always and Forever, perfect for groups includes Total Teen Facial, Spa Manicure, Spa Pedicure and Makeup Application. Price range: $45 for a teen makeup application and lesson, to $465 for a 5.5 hour day package. Why made the cut: Few spas offer such a comprehensive protocol for both teens and adults.
Spa name: Mario Badescu Skincare Salon Location: New York, NY Services: Extensive range of facial service and manicures and pedicures. Signature services: The European facial can be completely customized to your skin’s needs. Price range: $65 for a basic European facial to $100 for a facial plus Herbal Seaweed treatment. Why made the cut: Mario Badescu became a household name with the cult favorite Drying Lotion and while the salon is no-frills, the treatments and products are super affordable and deliver real results whatever your skin concern. It’s basically New York’s best kept secret.
Spa name: Hiatus Spa + Retreat Location: Dallas, TX Services: This Dallas retreat offers everything from facials, to massage, to acupuncture using Aveda products. Signature services: The Purifying Facial, designed to clear congestion, the Stone Fusion Body Glow, a full body exfoliation using Caribbean cane sugar and exotic fruits. Price range: If you join H Circle, a membership program, you can enjoy unlimited core spa services at a monthly fee of $69 for 6 months of gold membership or $59 for 12 months of platinum membership. Why made the cut: Not only was Hiatus named Best Spa in Dallas in 2009 by Citysearch, but if you’re a girl or guy who likes to visit the spa on a regular basis, you can save yourself or your parents a ton of money by joining H Circle.

Price range: $120 to $300 Why made the cut: The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa has received accolades from TripAdvisor, Shape magazine and American Airlines.
