"Spiderman 2 in theaters!
Back in action and out of the comic books Spiderman 2 has taken over the box office. This Summer we have been bombarded by more than enough sequels, however, for the first time in history the sequels have actually been better than the originals. Apparently the people in Hollywood have finally gotten the touch. One of the sequels this Summer that literally kicked ass was "Spiderman 2" once again starring Tobey Maguire as the infamous Spiderman.
While the original Spiderman was a terrific movie and one of my favorites, Spiderman 2 definitely takes the cake without question. The storyline has been taken up a notch with Peter Parker questioning his role as Spiderman. He is also dealing with inner struggles over his crush Mary Jane Watson, played by Kirsten Dunst, while battling the new crazy madman in town, Dr. Octopus. Some parts of the movie may sound a little cheesy as you read this, but I assure you that the storyline is right on and will have you on the edge of your seat many times. One of the best parts in the movie is Spiderman working to stop a train which nearly kills the hero. The effects in the movie have also improved greatly from the original.
The movie is perfect for Summer and is great to watch whether on a date or just chillin' with some friends. I won't give away the ending because that would ruin it for some of you, but I will say that the movie has been left open for a third installment which I welcome with open arms. If you haven't seen Spiderman 2 yet make sure that you check it out at theaters before it is gone or pick it up as soon as it comes out on DVD.
