90210new.jpgThe unforgettable theme song, the all too familiar halls of West Beverly, the unadulterated deception, the show that left a permanent dent in pop culture is back with a vengeance - 90210! For the first time nearly a decade the show that defined a generation aired on the CW network Tuesday night.

90210 is filled with familiar story lines (think back to the Brenda and Brandon. Annie and Dixon move from middle of nowhere U.S.A. to the center of attention Beverly Hills), both new and old friends (Annie befriends Naomi , who resembles Donna Martin, and Erin Silver - who just happens to be Kelly's little sis - just as Brenda befriended Donna and Kelly. Dixon meets Ethan and Navid just like Brandon becomes friend with Steve and Dylan) and an all new breed of deception (remember when Steve conned Brandon into 'studying' when he really had all the answers? Well, that's nothing compared to Naomi's friend Adrianna stealing her purse for drug money!). The show turns from sweet to sour when Annie and Dixon's father (the new principal) finds out he has a son with high school sweetheart, Tracy, who is Naomi's mom. Naomi and boyfriend Ethan, the "perfect" couple, breaks up, after which the slaps of all slaps take place. Brenda is back (drama will ensue!), Kelly is still trying to figure out her relationship with hottie teacher, Ryan Matthews! And, Annie is jet-setting off to dinner with a hot new guy just six hours after breaking up.

All there's left to say is - school is back in session!
