The second season of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” began with just as much drama and chaos as last season. When we left off last season, Amy had just given birth to her son, who she named John. Now, Amy is struggling to balance her life as a new mother, while still attending high school. Meanwhile, Ben is struggling to contain his jealousy over Ricky spending time with the Amy and the baby, as well as people taking notice of Amy's new and improved post-pregnancy body. Ben even admits to Amy that he wants to have sex.

The big news in the beginning of the episode is that Anne is pregnant. Oddly enough, everyone seems to figure it out before she even takes a pregnancy test. Amy is appalled by this, and George is under the impression that the father is David, Anne's new boyfriend. He even breaks the news of Anne's pregnancy to David before Anne can. Anne, who just became a grandmother, is about to be a mother again. We will have to see how this plays out this season.

Other highlights from the episode include Mr Boykewich beginning a dating relationship with a new woman, whom he claims to fall in love with. Little does he know that this woman is them prostitute that Tom invited over last season as his “special friend”.

Also, last season left off with Grace and her father in an argument over Grace not wanting to wait until marriage to have sex. This episode, Mrs. Bowman and Tom take Mr. Bowman to the airport, because he is going away on a business trip. Due to the fight with her father, Grace doesn't go along or say goodbye to her father. Well Grace and Jack finally decide to go through with having sex, but not before Grace tells Adrian, and Adrian tries to stop them. As Jack is leaving Grace's house afterwards, he runs into Mrs. Bowman and Tom at the door. Mrs. Bowman is sobbing and reveals the shocking news that Mr. Bowman is dead. The private plane he was on crashed right after taking off.

The news of Mr. Bowman's death will surely shake the lives of Grace, her family and the rest of community. Viewers will have to continue to watch to see what will happen as everyone tries to cope with all the life-altering situations this season.
